I did it! I made a coat!

Hello,

Hope you are well and had a good start of the year.

I am so happy and proud of the make I am sharing with you today! After quite a good time (at least for years) I finally made a coat. A proper winter coat!

It really is a lovely coat, don’t you agree?

You can read all about it here.

I will be warm and cosy for the rest of Winter! 🙂

New dress for Autumn

Hello,

Hope you are well.

Today I am sharing the first dress I made for Autumn. Well, I confess the colours are not very season adequate however, I am not quite ready to let Summer go…

Nonetheless, it is a beautiful dress, and you can read all about it here.

The fabric is really beautiful, and the pattern details make the fit perfect.

Happy sewing,

Another top for M

Hello,

Hope you are well.

Guess what? I made another top for M!

It is so pretty and we are both quite happy about how it turned out. 🙂

I used a gingham cotton from Minerva and you can read all about it here.

Also, I have used an adult pattern to make clothes for M! It is a bittersweet moment…

The sleeve! I said it was a pretty top!

Hope you like it! We certainly do!

Happy sewing!

Before starting with truly Summer makes I was glad to be able to make one more outfit that is perfect for Spring.

I used a beautiful corduroy to make an outfit. Trousers and a waistcoat.

Isn’t the fabric colour beautiful?

Have a lovely week. 🙂

New Skirt to welcome Spring!

Hello,

Hope you are all well.

It has been such a long time! I haven’t been sewing much lately and have been sharing even less. The world seems to be upside down and I find it hard to focus, to be honest.

I have another make to share with you but today I want to share the new skirt I made as part of Minerva’s challenge #SewnWithMcCalls.

You can read all about it here and I do hope you like it.

It really is a lovely pattern and the fabric is so pretty!

The pleats make the skirt drape so beautifully!

Hopefully, I will soon be sharing more projects with you. 🙂

Have a lovely rest of the week,

Maria x

The Liberty Alexa Frill Dress Kit

Hello,

Hope you are all well.

The year is almost over and sewing wise, 2021 was a nice one. I made some garments that I have really loved and I challenged myself to make trousers!

One thing I have also used for the first time was a sewing kit.

Both the pattern and fabric are lovely!

I had the opportunity to try the Liberty Alexa Frill Dress Kit and you can read all about it here and here.

Hope you like it! 🙂

Thank you so much for following my sewing adventures this year!

All about the sleeves

Hello,

Hope you are all well.

This last days the weather has been wonderful and of course, there was a need to make a new dress. Any excuse is good, really…

I made a lovely dress using a gorgeous Liberty linen / cotton. The pattern is the Anthea dress by Anna Allen and I don’t think I have to tell you how much I like those sleeves!

You can read all about this pretty dress at Minerva 🙂

I told you the sleeves were pretty! Also, how lovely is this print!

Hope you like the dress 🙂

Have a wonderful week!

Paulette Blouse

Hello hope you are all well.

The last couple of months I have been quite busy but not so much with sewing. I have so many ideas I want to bring to life but just haven’t been able to.

Nonetheless, I have a recently made blouse to share with you. I used a Robert Kaufman Rayon Challis from Minerva to make the Fibre Mood Paulette blouse and what can I say? It has ruffles and I quite like it!

You can read all about it here.

Did I mention it has ruffles?

Hope you like it!

Happy sewing,

Magnolia Dress

Hello,

Hope you are well.

Spring seems to just around the corner and although the weather is a bit grey at the moment it was wonderful to have a sunny weekend and enjoy long walks a bit less muddy.

Today I am sharing a new dress I made using the Magnolia Dress pattern from Deer and Doe and a lovely fabric from Minerva.

I do adore this pattern, this is my second version and most likely, not the last one.

You can read all abut it here.

Hope you like it.

Thank you for reading,
