While testing the Biscayne blouse I became an admirer of Hey June Patterns because of the care with details, great construction and finishing. Thus, I was really pleased when Adrianna picked me to test the Cheyenne Tunic and once more did not disappointed!

The Cheyenne Tunic can be made with a collar or dropped neckline, long or ¾ sleeves with optional sleeve tabs and shirt or tunic length, from sizes XS to 2XL. Plenty to choose and mix 🙂

For the test I made view A (with collar), long sleeves and shirt length in size XS, which is my bust measures and graded to an S at the hips, also according to my measurements. The only change I have made was to reduce the sleeves length by 2 inches.

The tunic can be made in a variety of fabrics, from rayon challis to flannel to please all kind of styles. In my case I’ve opted for a more casual one, using a chambray from here and a plaid cotton (shirt or poplin weigh) bought in Portugal, to add some colour.

This was my first time making a collar with stand or a sleeve placket, but I hadn’t had any problems as the instructions are clear and helpful so, if the pattern might look difficult don’t give up on it because the instructions will help you.

At the moment I’m working on my second shirt and already bought the fabric for a third one with the dropped neckline, as you can see I really recommend the pattern. It is not a fast sewing project but so rewarding, the instructions include French seams as a result the shirt will be beautiful inside and out 🙂

At the moment you can get the pattern on sale (you still have a few hours), so my advice is that you take advantage and get yours. You won’t regret it!
