Back in July, Peggy from Sew House 7 asked me if I would like to try one of her patterns that would be released in Autumn and I felt really happy with that for two reasons. First, Peggy was trusting me with a pattern that hadn’t been released yet and second, I was looking for a nice sweater pattern for the following season! Perfect timing!
Last Friday The Toaster Sweater was released and in fact there are two patterns, the #1 and #2, that are sold separately or as a bundle.
The one I made first was the #2 which is fitted at the shoulders but loose at the hem, semi high neck and vents with hi-low hem.
I like how comfortable it is without looking like a usual sweater. My favourite parts in this pattern are the semi high neck that makes it so cosy and the vents with hi-low hem that adds some stylish touch.
The pattern is available from sizes XS to XXL and I made size XS without modifications, based on my bust measurements.
The recommended fabric is knit with, at least, 20% stretch and I’ve used a sweatshirt fabric from Nosh that worked well and is so comfy that I’ve been wearing this sweatshirt already!
I think this pattern would look wonderful with a wool knit but I’m having a difficult time finding it! Anyway I have some nice fabric ready to make another version as I know these sweaters will have a lot of use around here.
Until the 4th October you can get the Toaster Sweater with 20% discount!
Have a great week! 🙂
