After some lovely sunny days, the sun seems to have gone somewhere else, but in the meantime we sure enjoyed the good weather. To enjoy the good weather even more M wore the new top I made for her a couple of weeks ago.
The pattern the Eloise gathered top from Townmouse patterns. I’ve been following Townmouse on Flickr since I started sewing and love Kristine’s style so when I saw the lovely versions Ana Sofia made I was completely convinced and just had to make a couple for my girls.
For M I made a size 6 for length with size 4 for width and the fit is good and still are room to grow and play freely. There is nothing wrong with the pattern is just that M’s chest measurements fall between size 1 and 2 years old! My girls are growing but it looks like they only grow upwards!
One of my girls’ favourite things to do is gardening especially the part that involves water! After watering the plants they always make sure they water themselves as well. 🙂 They really make the most out of the sunny days.
The fabric used is Michael Miller Lattice Cotton Eyelet bought here over a year ago and that was patiently waiting for some nice pattern to be used on. I think this colour will look even better when M get some more sun and her skin gets a nice tan colour.
The top was made without any change to the pattern, the instructions are great and the construction is very clever so that there are no visible seams, just how I like it! 🙂
I believe that there is no need to say that the cute gathered sleeves are my favourite part along with the clean finishing.
