The Antalya Dress

I was really lucky to have been selected to test the new pattern that Olga Becker (Kid Approved) designed for Willow & Co. new collection and released today!! I was (still am) very happy to be part of the test. Olga is very creative and has designed a great pattern, The Antalya Dress.

The dress has dolman sleeves, these adorable gathers at the front sides and back, optional piping, bias bound neckline and two closure options at the back, exposed zipper or bias bound slit with button loops and buttons. In my opinion makes a perfect girl’s summer dress.

The version I tested had the exposed zipper, in size 5 and the fit is perfect on F 🙂 The fabric used is a light chambray for the dress and Liberty, Katie and Millie in pink for the piping, to make some contrast and finally, one of my favourites, the lace ended zip also in pink 😉

The dress was made a few weeks ago, but taking outside photos was not an option, until last week. A little before the holidays M. asked me if she could spend some time just with me (we don’t have much of that!) so, I took advantage of the school break to get some time with just one of the girls at least for a few hours. When it comes to Little Lady F’s day it was a magnificent spring day, unusually hot and perfect to take the new dress for a walk in the park!

The dress is really girly but also great to play as you can see 😉

And it has the twirling factor…

This picture was a request from F! Don’t ask me why, she just seated on the bench and asked me to take her a picture (!?)

Thank you so much Olga for the opportunity to test the dress, I loved it 🙂

Thank you so much Maria 🙂 I love the difference details like piping can make to a garment, but I still need to improve my skills 😉

This pattern looks like fun. It can go really girly or more mature, depending on your fabric choice. I really like the exposed zipper!

Thank you Diana 🙂 This pattern is really fun and you are right is suitable for tittle girls as well as “almost teenagers” depending on the fabric choices 😉
