When I first started to sew had no idea that I would make clothes for my daughters and much less that I would do it for myself, but lately I felt to, at least, try it. I wanted something really simple to start with because I don’t have much experience and on the other hand simple clothes are the ones that I wear the most.
I just started to buy some patterns for myself and while choosing which ones I should start with, Cali Faye released a collection of basics. Perfect timing right? When I saw these dresses I liked even more and decided to buy a couple of patterns. So to start with I’ve chosen the tank 🙂
Although the instructions recommendations are for a lighter fabric, I decided to make the front in a light chambray, leftover from a dress that I will soon share and the back in a white “broderie anglaise” just because a like (a lot) that fabric. Thank you Ana Sofia for sending me the fabric 🙂
I have to be honest and say that I was a bit (lot) afraid because of the sizes. My measures are not all in the same size, but I decided to choose the chest measures, where I really wanted the tank to fit well and made a size XS. I’m glad I did it because I love the way it looks (sorry if I am not being very modest, but I’m just happy with how it turned out 😉 ) even if it might not be that perfect!
I really wanted to take spontaneous outside photos of me wearing the top rather than those, but that was not possible with the cold and rain that we still have! I suppose you can clearly see how (un)comfortable I am on the other side of the camera, right?
Have a lovely Easter 🙂
